Satirical comedy play

The Department of Cultural Affairs and the Tagore Theatre Society presented a satirical comedy play, 'Kisse Parsai Ke', by the Theatre for Theatre ensemble under the Jaspal Bhatti Comedy Series at Tagore Theatre here today.

The play was an adaptation of literary satirist Hari Shanker Parsai's three short stories 'Vishnav Katha', 'Tabadla' and 'Gau Raksha' in nautanki tradition by TFT director Sudesh Sharma. The play debated the myriad aspects of our disabled public administration system as also the fast deteriorating morality, corruption and superstitious prejudices prevalent in the current society.

All actors sticking to perfect timings and accuracy brought alive the intent of stories through genial wit and humour supported by musical renditions in nautanki style. Acclaimed theatre and film personalities Parvesh Sethi and Balkar Sidhu blessed the artistes.
