The 15th Annual Week of the Dolphin (PG) Institute of Biomedical and Natural Sciences “SRIJAN-2016” being organised by the Dolphin Students’ Welfare Committee (DSWC) started here today.
The function began with march past by students of various departments.
Arvind Gupta, chairman, Dolphin (PG) Institute, said co-curricular activities were necessary for an all-round development of students. He advised students to participate whole-heartedly in these activities. He declared open the annual week “SRIJAN-2016”.
Ashwini Shankar from Banaras Gharana gave a mesmerising Shehnai recital. The musical programme was organised in collaboration with Spic Macay.
Meanwhile, students participated enthusiastically in track events like 50m (girls), 80 m (boys), 4x50 relay race (girls), 4x80 relay race (boys). School Principal Dr Shailja Pant, Director Arun Kumar and Dean of Students’ Welfare Vipul Garg were present on the occasion.
The theme of poster presentation was “A Smart City”. Students participated with zeal and vigour in rangoli and salad-making competitions.
