Two NCC girl cadets from J&K did the state proud by putting up outstanding performance at the national level.
Cadet Garima Charak secured the first position in the “Best Cadet” competition in the Senior Wing Army (Girls), and Cadet Arti Devi secured the third position in the Senior Wing (Navy). It is for the first time in the history of J&K NCC that two cadets of the state have come up in top three positions.
Cadet Garima Charak, daughter of Rakesh Singh Charak, a school headmaster, is studying in BA-III at GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Cadet Arti Devi, daughter of Raghubir Singh, an ex-serviceman (Army), is a student of GDC, Samba. Both cadets through their determination and excellence have also made their respective institutes, parents, NCC Directorate and the state of J&K proud.
Both cadets were felicitated by Prime Minister Narinder Modi during the Prime Minister’s Rally of NCC Cadets held in Delhi on January 26.
