Arnav continues his winning streak

On the concluding day of the 28th Chandigarh State Table Tennis Championship for Cadets and Sub-Juniors, Arnav Aggarwal bagged his third title of the championship. The tournamnet is being held at the table tennis hall of Sector 23.

Arnav, after winning titles of the boys’ U-10 and 12 titles on Sunday, posted another win in the sub-junior category today. In an exciting final of the boys’ category, Arnav Aggarwal beat Ishaan Kapoor from DAV Public School, Sector 8, 9-11, 11-7, 12-10, 11-9.

Earlier, in the semifinal, Arnav defeated Shivin from DPS School, Sector 40, 11-8, 11-7, 11-8. In the final of sub-junior girls’ event, Arshita from DAV Public School, Sector 8, defeated Shubhangi from DPS, Sector 40, 12-10, 11-6, 11-5.

In the semifinal, Shubhangi from DPS defeated Vibhuti from Carmel Convent, Sector 9, 11-8, 11-7, 7-11, 11-7 and Arshita from DAV Public School, Sector 8, defeated Deevanshi from St Kabir Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, 11-8, 11-5, 5-11, 6-11, 11-8.

In the boys’ doubles sub-junior category, Ishaan and Sachit defeated Mayank and Parth 11-7, 8-11, 11-9, 18-16 to win the championship whereas in the sub-junior girls’ doubles event, the pair of Chinmayee and Shubhangi overpowered Vasundhara and Vibhuti 11-5, 11-7, 11-2.
