City shooter hits the bull’s eye

Chandigarh, December 18

Local shooter Yasheswani Deshwal brought laurels to the city by bagging the top honour during the 58th National Shooting Championship Competitions being held at Pune.

She has become junior as well and youth national champion with a record score of 384/400 in 10-m air pistol women event.

The 16-year-old is a student of Bhavan Vidyalaya and is trained by TS Dhillon.

Earlier, she hogged the limelight by becoming the only female shooter from the region to qualify and represent India at the Youth Oylmpics held in China. She also participated in the World Championships held at Granada in Spain. — TNS
