RSS for fight against drugs

Nangal, January 20

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) national executive member Indresh Kumar said today that governments could only make laws, but society would have to impart values to save youth from drug abuse.

He was addressing a gathering on the occasion of a debate on drugs and its impact on society organised by RSS social activists Dr Archana and Vaidya Ishwar Chandra in collaboration with Apoorva Ayurved.

Union Minister of State Vijay Sampla, Punjab Cabinet Minister Madan Mohan Mittal and Rajya Sabha MP Avinash Rai Khanna also spoke on the occasion.

Emphasising on the importance of social values, Indresh said the government could only make laws, but society would have to impart values.

He called upon parents to spend quality time with their children.

Union Minister Vijay Sampla said there were multifaceted reasons and strategies to combat drugs. Cabinet Minister Madan Mohan Mittal said blaming each other would not yield any result. “Fighting against drugs is everyone’s responsibility.”

He urged religious leaders to speak against drugs and dissuade the masses from using it.
