Asees from YPS wins silver in shotgun

Patiala: Asees Chhina of Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, won silver in the shotgun event during the 59th National Shooting Championship in Jaipur. Maheshwari Chauhan of Rajasthan bagged gold in the event followed by Asees Chhina and Areeba Khan. The skeet junior and senior girls’ competition was held at Jaipur. After all three rounds, the top six finalists were Maheshwari Chauhan who secured 63 points out of 75, Areeba Khan second with 58 points, Asees Chhina third with 53 points, Pooja Vishavkarma fourth with 50 points, Simarpreet Johal and Sarveshwari Kumari were tied for fifth and sixth spot with 47 points. In the senior category, Arti Rao won gold, Rashmi Rathore won silver and Sania Shaikh won bronze. — TNS
