It was a day of confusion for employees at the UT Estate Office as the new system installed for marking attendance through the Aadhaar attendance management system failed to take off.
The system showed ‘ error 5’. The flaw was noticed in the morning and evening hours. Over 100 such devices have been installed at different UT offices. Based on the Aadhar platform that is GPRS and wifi enabled, the new system logs the entry and exit time of employees and track chronic late comers.
Officials of the IT Department was seen grappling with the machines.
