Ayurveda is the flag-bearer of all medical therapies being practised worldwide. It is a mixture of scientific, physical and psychological aspects, which has no side-effects.
This was stated by renowned ayurveda-panchkarma exponent Dr Dhananjay K Shrivastava while talking to The Trib une here today.
Rishikesh-based Dr Shrivastava is an ayurveda expert who has been to more than 35 countries till date, to train and popularise ayurveda. Since 2010 he has been on a regular basis holding several workshops and training camps related with ayurveda in Asia, Europe and America.
A specialist in panchkarma therapy, he recently returned from Netherlands, where he was felicitated by Royal Medical Group, for holding a successful ayurveda training workshop on regular basis.
A regular visiting faculty at Zurich School of Karpir Therapy for ayurveda workshop since 2007, Dr Shrivastava has been instrumental in preparing the syllabus of ayurveda degree programme at this school.
“This ayurveda programme is gaining huge popularity and dozens of students have enrolled in the programme indicating the immense inclination of foreign people towards this Indian concept,” said Dr.DK Shrivastava, who has been teaching ayurveda in Ghana, Spain, France, Germany, Russia and other European countries.
“As ayurveda has no such negatives, foreign people are moving towards alternate medicines and herein ayurveda provides them health benefits without any side-effects,” he said.
‘Yajna essential for spiritual energy’
Spiritual orator Acharya Chandra Prakash Khansili on Thursday said peforming rituals of yajna were essential for spiritual and religious energy as they purified both mind and atmosphere.
He said positive energy emanates from these rituals which had been performed by seers for attainment of spiritual bliss.
He said this at the ongoing Srimad Bhagwad Mahapuran Yajana being held at Rajvanti, Jhanda chowk at Subash Nagar.
Khansili said rendition of Srimad Bhagwad Mahapuran holds tremendous spiritual and religious blessing as it paves for physical and mental growth not only among listeners but for society.
As per the organising committee members, RB Diyar and Anamika Sharma, the ritual performance will be held on a daily basis. Sachin Sharma, Sushma Baudai, Neelam Sharma, Sanjay Baudai, Rajendra Prasad Khansili, Jintendra Sharma among other devotees are coordinating the event.
