Balbir Singh Sr meets Dhoni & Co.

Hockey legend Balbir Singh Senior met the Indian cricket team members today and wished them luck ahead of their World T20 tie against Australia on Sunday.

  Singh, 92, the member of three Olympics gold-medal winning teams, met Dhoni and his teammates at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. Singh, who was part of the famous gold medal winning teams from 1948 to 1956 Olympics, gave his best wishes and hoped that the Indian team would lift the title. Dhoni thanked him and enquired about his health, to which the legend smiled and replied, “Your victory contributes towards my good health”. Singh said, “I came to wish the team luck.” 

India won the World T20 title in 2007 and 50-over World Cup in 2011. — PTI
