Battle of Bands win hearts at Kalagram

The otherwise tranquil ambiance of NZCC’s Kalagram reverberated with powerful musical presentations as a charity-based Rock Band Marathon- Silence Denied 5.0, the first of its kind in the Tricity, was organised by a non-profit organisation, The Daniels of PEC University, at Kalagram here today.
The event commenced with the ‘Battle of Bands’, where in top bands from the Tricity fought tooth and nail for the grand prize worth Rs 20,000, including a music distribution contract for a year and two-months artiste engagement package sponsored by muslate.com. The audience was left spellbound as both the bands, The Half Mile and The Mother Fuzzers, weaved their magic around the venue. The Mother Fuzzers was announced the winner of the battle.
The Battle of the Bands was followed by the headlining performances of the three star bands- Swastik The Band, Nalayak The Band and The Light Ear. The three bands initiated an enthralling rock music trance aura and kept the audience off their feet throughout the evening.
The funds raised from the event would be directed towards an NGO from PEC Univerisity of Technology- Punarkriti.
This was the fifth version of the annual flagship event of the organisation- The Daniels, which is run by students of PEC University of Technology, said Shabab Akhtar Rabbani.
