UT Administrator Kaptan Singh Solanki while interacting with eight IAS probationers of 2014 batch who called on him at the Punjab Raj Bhawan today, asked them to do their job to the best of their ability and try to make a difference.
He said he was glad to meet the young officers who would have a role in steering the “destiny of the nation in the next three decades and more.” He asked the probationers to be proactive, innovative and responsive while working for the vulnerable and poor sections of society.
Solanki, urged the IAS probationers to administer with a human touch and implement welfare schemes in their true spirit after completing their training. He said the need of the hour was to understand the requirement of the people, their ambition and to adopt sympathetic attitude.
Besides, MP Singh, Principal Secretary to the Governor, the other eight probationers were Sakshi Sawhney, Komal Mittal, Himanshu Aggarwal, Rubee Dugg, Preetu Yadav, Amrit Singh, Jitendra Jorwal and Jaspreet Singh.
