Birender suffers back sprain while getting off helicopter in Jind

Union Steel Minister Birender Singh got sprain in the back and muscle spasm while alighting from a helicopter in the district’s Budain village today. He, along with Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, was here to lay the foundation stone of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV).
A team of doctors present at the helipad gave Birender first-aid. He reached the venue in an ambulance and addressed the gathering sitting. He descended the stage with the help of BJP leaders and officials.
The Steel Minister was scheduled to return to New Delhi with Javadekar. But for the sprain, Birender stayed back.
He was taken to Civil Hospital, Jind. For the want of MRI and scan machines, he was referred to Delhi.
Birender is under treatment at AIIMS, Delhi.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Sanjay Dahiya said: “Birender Singh had a muscle spasm and sprain in the back. He will take a few days to recover.”
Bus veers off course
A private bus carrying nearly 60 students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rohtak, veered onto the fields while negotiating a cut near the venue. No one was hurt. Students from KV, Rohtak, and KV, Gurgaon, were brought to Budain for co-circular activities.
Javadekar lays stone of KV in Jind village
Jind: Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday laid the foundation stone of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) in the district's Budain village. Villagers have offered 10 acres for the school. Javadekar said: “The Centre is working on the motto of sabko shiksha achi shiksha.” oc
