Uttarakhand Women’s Congress president Sarita Arya today said the BJP was misguiding Dalits in the country.

Sarita, while addressing mediapersons in Dehradun today, said the BJP had always been anti-Dalit and it could never be sympathiser of the Dalit community as it was portraying these days.

She alleged that it was the RSS that burnt an effigy of Dr BR Ambedkar on December 11, 1949, its anti-Dalit face, which exists even today.

Sarita said the BJP had fuelled communalism in the country and had never believed in the principles of democracy. The BJP would lose miserably in the 2017 Assembly elections in the state. She said the BJP would even lose in the next parliamentary elections at the Centre.
