Karanveer Rana, the younger son of former Senior Deputy Mayor and BJP councillor Rana Kashmiri Devi, who had recently joined the BJP, joined the Congress today.

The development is significant as local BJP MP Kirron Kher and BJP councillor Rana Kashmiri Devi are at loggerheads over taking credit of starting the repair work of Phirni road in Burail village, which falls under Kashmiri Devi’s ward.

Sources revealed that Congress leaders are now in touch with Kashmiri Devi and his elder son Vijay Rana, a former councillor, for joining the Congress.

Kashmiri Devi and his sons Vijay Rana and Karanveer Rana, had recently joined the BJP after parting ways with the Congress. In a joining function at the Congress Bhawan in Sector 35, Karanveer said MP Kirron Kher had humiliated his mother by not inviting her at a function in Burail on Monday evening to announce the development work started on the initiative of his mother as a councillor.
