In a letter to the PM, Chawla said, “It was good to meet you during your Amritsar visit. However, the security personnel troubled the common people a lot which also deprived many of your admirers to see you closely. There was a curfew-like situation in the city. The local officials said all this was being done following the directions from Delhi officials.”
