Book on Swami Dayanand released

A book on the life and teachings of Swami Dayanand was today released by DAV College of Education Principal Dr Venita Singh and other educationists at a function organised by the Swami Dayanand Studies Centre on the college campus.

Earlier, the centre had organised a UGC-sponsored national seminar. Research papers presented by scholars have now been compiled in a book for benefits of students and teachers.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
