The BSF sleuths recovered heroin, besides fake Indian currency and ammunition in the Ferozepur sector in separate incidents here today.
RK Thapa, DIG, BSF, Ferozepur sector, said on a tip-off, a special search operation was carried out by the BSF soldiers belonging to 1919 Battalion near border outpost Kulwant during which a packet of heroin (450 gm) was recovered.
In another incident, the BSF troops belonging to 87 Battalion recovered fake currency amounting to Rs 5.97 lakh, besides one pistol with two magazines, 10 rounds of ammunition and Pakistani SIM card.
