BSNL staff seek removal of pay anomalies

Members of the All-India Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Executive Association held a demonstration in support of their year-long pending demands here today. The protesters demanded revision of pay and other perks of employees.
The agitated employees gathered at the office of Chief General Manager, Uttarakhand Circle, and raised slogans against the Central Government.
They said a mem-orandum had been submitted to the officials but to no avail.
They said the Centre should take immediate steps to remove the pay anomalies of employees and implement the recommendations of the Joint Committee meant for improving the financial status of employees. The protesters demanded timely promotion, pension etc for the employees. They said the JTO and the SDE should be given recommended pay band.
Brijmohan Dhyani, Kamlesh Kumar, Ashok Kukretti, RS Kaithat, LP Thapliyal, MR Sharma, Ganesh Kothari, Vinod Joshi and Khemraj Dobhal participated in the protest.
