The tussle between the Budha Dal School authorities and the parents’ association has moved one step further as both factions have lodged police complaints against each other. Following the exchange of heated arguments over the issue of the result of a student, the issue turned ugly and the police was called on the school premises to put the situation under control.
Both factions alleged the use of foul language against each other. The incident took place on Wednesday during the school hours in front of some teachers and even students also.
Notably, in 2015, the Parents Association also moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court over the capitation fee row. The court had directed the fee regulatory committee of the administration to decide the matter, which is pending with the regulatory body.
School principal Amrit Aujla said “The father of the student came to my office and started asking for answer sheets of his ward. As the session has been started and the staff was busy, I asked him to wait for some time, but he suddenly started shouting. He used foul language for us and also abused the school authorities.”
While parents of the student Urvinder Singh and Sarabjit Kaur said “We had politely requested the school management to provide the answer sheets of our ward but they denied doing the same. When we asked the reason behind the denial, the school principal tore our application and abused us in her office.”
Station House Officer (SHO) Surinder Bhalla said “We have received written complaints from both parties and started the investigation in the case.” He said “We have also sought the CCTV footage from the school and asked both parties to join the investigation.”
