Burglars break into bank, leave without any cash
Rajouri, December 10
Burglars made a futile attempt to break into J&K Grameen Bank in the remote Sialsui area of Rajouri district last night.
In a report lodged at the Kalakot police station, Satish Kumar, branch manager, said the burglar(s) had made a hole in the rear wall of the bank from which only one person could enter.
“As per initial on-the-spot verification, the burglar(s) entered the bank from the rear side and only restricted their movement to the cash counter in order to steal cash. No attempt was made to check or break the cash box as no footprints were found near it by the forensic science laboratory team,” said Navneen Kumar, second in charge, Kalakot police station. — OC
