Sources said candidates having catchy nicknames were getting popular with the voters. In many cases, voters do not even know the full name of the candidate. Some other such names are Mahasha, Lakha, Bitta, Sukha, Chintu, Bunty and Shammi. In Ward No. 5, the contest is between Jagga, Bagga and Baggi. Jagmeet Singh ‘Jagga’ is an Independent, while Gurjant Singh ‘Baggi’ is a BJP candidate and Santa Singh ‘Bagga’ belongs to the Congress.
