Chandigarh, August 3
In a 25-year-old disproportionate assets case, a CBI official was cross examined in the court through video conferencing today. DSP CBI Makhan Singh was cross examined by the defence counsel in the case. When asked about the case and how it happened, the CBI official replied that he did not remember the case.
In 1990, the CBI had booked Colonel BS Goraya (now retired) in a case of disproportionate assets as his property assets far exceeded his income. He had several properties in his and in family member’s name in Panchkula and Gurgaon which led to the registration of the case against him.
