Chamba, November 10
Traditional artists from Chamba and Kangra districts will display their art works at a week-long national craft and painting workshop at Kozhikode in Kerala.
According to official sources, the national craft and painting workshop, commencing November 15, is being organised by the Kerala folklore academy, a pioneer government organisation of arts.
The artists comprising painters of Pahari School, Chamba rumal embroiderers and artisans of metal craft will display their artworks, besides giving live demonstration in the workshop.
It is for the first time that a group of traditional artists is visiting Kerala to showcase traditional arts of Himachal. The participating artists are Tilak Raj, Bhuvaneshwar, Anshu Mohan, Parikshit, Deepak, Lal Singh, Indu and Heena Kumari.
