Chamkaur Sahib, July 26
CLP leader Charanjit Singh Channi today climbed an electricity pole and restored power supply to the water works of Sihon Majra village here. The local MLA said PSPCL officials had snapped the supply a fortnight ago as the local residents could not deposit a pending bill for Rs 9.80 lakh.
The PSPCL officials denied that power supply to the water works was disconnected.
XEN Harinder Singh said his department did not disconnect the power supply to any village in the district. — TNS
