Child run over by JCB, dies

Mohali, January 18

A one-and-a-half-year child died after being run over by a JCB machine at Nanumajra village near Sohana on Saturday. The victim was identified as Raju, a son Anil Kumar, who lives in a hutment.

According to police, the child was playing near the hutment at the time of incident. “The JCB was putting soil nearby when it hit the child accidently,” said the police. The driver of the JCB fled from the spot along with the vehicle.
