Close shave for man as car catches fire

LUDHIANA: A resident of Samrala had a miraculous escape after his Maruti Suzuki Swift car, in which he was travelling, caught fire at Samrala Chowk.

A resident of Samrala had a miraculous escape after his Maruti Suzuki Swift car, in which he was travelling, caught fire at Samrala Chowk.

The incident took place around 9.30pm when Garish Bharti of Samrala who was visiting the city in connection of some work was returning home.

He said at first he smelt that a wire was burning. As soon as he alighted from the car the vehicle caught fire. In no time car turned into a fire ball.
