The Chief Minister announced that a new dispensary would be opened and a playground developed at Vikas Nagar. He said that the state government was committed to provide all possible help to Municipal Corporation Shimla for providing basic amenities to the people.

“Shimla town was not only known for its heritage but also a symbol of green environment and cleanliness”, he said and urged the people to maintain cleanness so as to maintain the glory of the town.

Virbhadra also performed the foundation stone laying ceremony of a sarai of the Cancer Hospital near the IGMC Shimla, a joint venture of Rotary Club and Municipal Corporation Shimla to be constructed at a cost of Rs 3 crore.
