Dehradun, March 4

Chief Minister Harish Rawat today ordered a probe into the alleged rape of a Dutch woman. He directed the police to take strict action against the culprit. The police were directed to arrest the accused in the case at the earliest.

The Dutch woman, who had gone missing in Rishikesh last week, was found there after three days. She was found to be mentally disturbed. She was treated at two hospitals at Rishikesh before being taken to Delhi. She had attended a spiritual gathering before she went missing under mysterious circumstances. Her roommates had called the police when she did not return to her hostel at night. The incident has created an uproar in society with the demand to bring the culprits to book.
