CM releases self-laudatory publication
Dehradun, March 14
Chief Minister Harish Rawat today released “Nai Disha Ke Aur Apna Uttarakhand”, a book published by the State Information and Public Relations Directorate on the achievements of the state government in the last three years.
The Chief Minister said it was the endeavour of his government to ensure transparent and accountable governance. The Congress-led state government had been sincerely working towards developing infrastructure.
He said besides achievements of the government, the book also dwelt at length on the challenges faced by the state in its formative years and the incumbent government’s efforts to redress them. The government had tried to take development to each and every region of Uttarakhand, he added.
Rawat took a dig at the Central government and accused it of cutting funds under the Centrally-sponsored schemes for the state. Cabinet ministers Harak Singh Rawat, Dinesh Agarwal and Harish Chandra Durgapal and Chief Secretary N Ravishankar were present on the occasion. — TNS
