“The material is being used to construct roads across the state,” said a team member.

When asked whether any complaint of usage of substandard material had been received by the Vigilance, the team members claimed that it was a routine affair.

“We used to check the quality of such material,” they said.

The Vigilance team had also collected samples of Airport road in the previous year following incidents of caving in of the road at certain spots.
