A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, posted at the residence of a Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet minister, was injured when his service rifle allegedly went off accidentally.
The police said constable Devinder Singh of the 44 Battalion of the CRPF was injured this morning in an accidental fire from his service weapon.

“The injured was rushed to a hospital where his condition is stated to be stable,” the police said.
The CRPFconstable was guarding the residence of Minister for Youth Services and sports and Information Technology Imran Ansari in the Qamarwari locality of Srinagar.
The Youth Services and Sports Minister was not at home when the CRPFconstable was injured, a source said.
