Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police for central Kashmir Ghulam Hassan Bhat today flagged off a youth trekking expedition to Pahalgam resort.

The trekking expedition has been organised by the Srinagar police in association with the Anantnag police and the JKTDC to promote adventure sports among the youth of the state, the police said.

Twenty members of the Police Youth Club, Kanitar Saderbal, were selected for the four-day trekking expedition to Pahalgam, a police spokesman said.

Bhat while flagging off the expedition said the state police organised this trekking expedition to promote adventure sports among the youth.

Srinagar SSP Amit Kumar and Hazratbal SP Rayees Mohammed Bhat also attended the flagging off ceremony. — TNS
