Dhanuka Agritech Limited, a leading agrochemical formulations company of India, recently launched a course on Agricultural Extension Services in Public Private Partnership mode.
The course, jointly launched in association with Junagadh Agriculture University in Gujarat, will benefit the agri-input dealers & distributors.
This one-year diploma will focus on agricultural inputs and services and training for new technologies. Previously, the course has been launched at Anand Agricultural University, Anand and Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari.
The Agricultural Extension Course devised as per the norms of IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) is offered on a distant education learning mode. The course will be divided into eight modules in which applied topics will be taught by scientists of different faculties.
Eligibility for joining this course is Class XII pass. But JAU has relaxed the norms to Class X pass with an additional minimum 5 years business experience.
It is a 48-week course with classes on every Sunday. Dhanuka bears 50% of the course fee for all 40 candidates & 50 % is borne by the candidate.
Fire engineering course
A regular four-year course in fire service engineering has been launched at the National Fire Service College (NFSC) to impart disaster management skills in students of this unique discipline. The Bachelor of Engineering (Fire) course has been launched in co-ordination with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
The latest batch, after clearing the all-India JEE, has a strength of 55 students including seven girls. The NFSC, established in 1956, functions under the administrative command of the Union Home Ministry and is aimed to impart skills and education to the students in this special domain.
