Dogri musical fair has Padma Sachdev songs
Jammu, December 30
The Dogri Sanstha organised ‘Geet Sandhya’, a musical evening of songs penned by poetess Padma Sachdev, as part of Dogri Maanta Divas and New Year celebrations.
About two dozen singers, representing the new generation, enthralled the audience with a scintillating bonanza of music and poetry under the supervision of music director Brij Mohan. The programme began with “Jammu shehar khand mitthe pataase” by Varsha Jamwal followed by Mehvish who presented a famous song of the poetess, “Bhadro ne rohay kanne bhanniyan duariyaan”.
The audience witnessed the performance of Vivek Mohan, Sonali Dogra, Sushmita and Indu Bala too. Dharmesh Nargotra presented a masterpiece of Padma Sachdev, “Sanjh roungli te ghatt aye duaas mati aye”. — TNS
