Doon International School wins ‘Geeta Path Pratiyogita’

Dehradun, September 4

Doon International School today won the winning and overall trophies during the 8th annual inter-school “Geeta Path Pratiyogita”, hosted by Kasiga School here today.

The second position was won by host Kasiga School and Indian Public School, Dehradun, bagged the third position.  

D. Sudha Rani Pandey, first woman Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, was the chief guest. She is the recipient of Vidushi Vidyottama Stree  Shakti Samman for being an outstanding Sanskrit scholar.

The schools which participated in the event included Welham Girl’s School, Scholar’s Home,  Jaswant Modern School, Doon International School, Asian School, Mussoorie International School and Indian Public School.

The contest was based on shlokas taken from the 6th chapter of Bhagwad  Geeta. 

The atmosphere was filled with spirituality and devotion .

The competition concluded with the students of Kasiga performing the Krishna stuti.
