Dr Gurdial Singh, a renowned veterinary anatomist, took charge as Vice-Chancellor of the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS) here today.
Addressing mediaperons, Dr Singh set out priorities, including building campus with ultra-modern facilities, opening College of Fisheries and focusing on research activities.
Dr Singh was appointed as Dean of the College of Veterinary Sciences in 2013. He has been associated with the college for last 35 years where he started working as an assistant professor in 1983. He was also the Vice-President of the Veterinary Council of India. —TNS
