Drug peddler arrested

Zirakpur: The CIA staff on Wednesday arrested a drug peddler and recovered 25 grams of intoxicant powder from his possession. The accused has been identified as Sulakhan Singh, a resident of Sector 41, Chandigarh. Gurpratap Singh, Investigation Officer, said they got information from their sources about the activity of the accused. He said a team was constituted and the accused was intercepted near Jaipuria Enclave, Zirakpur, who was waiting in a Scorpio car bearing number (CH-01BK-2558) to deliver the consignment. The Investigation Officer said the accused was earlier booked under the NDPS Act and was out on bail. The accused used to deliver the consignment to youths. A case has been registered against Sulakhan Singh under the NDPS Act. — OC
