The sale of 72,023 e-stamps in different districts of Haryana has yielded over Rs 1194.67 crore between April and December, 2016. A spokesman of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department said here today that the government had implemented a Property Registration System. He said the government had made mandatory e-stamping in the districts of Faridabad, Gurugram, Sonepat and Panchkula.

The name and address of the purchaser, purpose of purchase was printed on the stamp paper and the record remained available in the system. The purchaser was required to provide his cellphone number and he could generate stamp only after he would feed the code sent on his cellphone through SMS.— TNS
