Farewell party
The Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, on Monday organised a farewell party for its students. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by the Dean, Faculty of Laws, GK Chatrath, and the Director, UILS, Prof Sangeeta Bhalla.GK Chatrath shared his experience with the students.
Date sheet for PG exams
Panjab University, Chandigarh, has announced the date-sheet of undergraduate and postgraduate examinations. The date-sheet of the second semester of BA/BSc/BCom/BBA/BCA/BSc (bio-informatics/Bio-Tech) have been uploaded on the university website. The date sheet for the second and fourth semesters of MA/MSc/MSc (IT)/ MCom/MFC/MPEd have been uploaded.
USOL admissions
The University School of Open Learning (USOL), Panjab University, has asked students to fill the examination form and deposit the fee by April 30, 2015. In a communiqué, USOL Chairperson Prof RK Gupta said all students of undergraduate and postgraduate classes, who have not filled the examination form till now should fill the examination form and deposit the fees by all means till April 30.
Faculty development programme
A week-long faculty development programme (FDP) on the topic “Corporate Governance, Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility” started at Dr SSB University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (UICET), Panjab University, on Monday. The FDP would continue up to May 2 under the TEQIP-II, a world bank project.
Lecture
Noted economist and Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, Dr Arvind Subramanian would address at a Panjab University (PU) colloquium on April 28. He would speak on the Economic Survey of India 2014-15. The colloquium will held on 4 PM at the SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (UICET) Auditorium. VC Arun Kumar Grover will preside over the programme. — TNS
