Fashion gets new meaning at UIFT show

An impressive and inimitable annual design collection of the University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development (UIFT and VD), Panjab University, was showcased in afashion show organised at the PU Law Auditorium here today.
The annual design collection was based on theme of Shears and Ruban, a ritualistic production of original and creative work by the master degree students of the University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development.
Panjab University Dean, Student Welfare (Women), prof Nandita Singhand Dean, Student Welfare prof Navdeep Goyal were the chief guestand guest of honour, respectively.
Students of MSc (Fashion and Lifestyle Technology) are graded on the basis of their collection. So, this is an attempt by the department to help students gain practical knowledge, said Dr Sween, coordinator, University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development.
