Garhwali film’s release soon

Garhwali movie ‘Badang’ will be released in the state in January, said film director KP Dhoundiyal here today.

Dhoundiyal, while addressing a press conference, said ‘Badang’, a Chinkara production, was a tax-free Garhwal feature film. The entire film had been shot in the Garhwal region of the state, he said.

The director said the story of the film revolves around women’s harassment, love and revenge. “The film is aimed at highlighting the culture of the state apart from promotion of tourism sites. Kavita Baudai, Indu Bhatt and Vinod Mamgain have starred in the film, and songs have been sung by Anju Bisht,” he added.

Dr MR Saklani, producer of the film, was also present.
