Governor, Mufti mourn death of Azad’s mother

Jammu, April 10

Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad’s mother Busa Begum breathed her last this evening in Jammu.

She had been ill for some time and died around 4.25 pm at her home in Jammu.

Busa Begum had suffered a brain haemorrhage a few months ago and was admitted to a hospital in the winter capital. Azad reached Jammu and will participate in his mother’s ‘nimaz-e-jinaza’ this evening.

Condolences started to pour in from different quarters. J&K Pradesh Congress Committee president GA Mir expressed grief over the death of Azad’s mother.

Meanwhile, Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed have condoled the sad demise of Azad’s mother.

In a condolence message, the Governor expressed his sympathy with Azad and other members of the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
