Governor NN Vohra released “Trika, the Kashmir Saiva Essence”, by Tej Raina, at a function organised in the auditorium of the Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu, today.
The book is about “Trika”, perspective of the Kashmir Shaiva philosophy, and seeks to provide answers in an easy and clear language about the phenomenon based on Sutras from the Shaiva scriptures.
Congratulating Raina for authoring a well-researched and lucidly written volume, the Governor observed that the present day world was grappling with numerous problems due to extreme ideologies, resulting in conflicts, violence and wars.
He said: “If we try to understand the deeply embedded wisdom in our ancient philosophies, we can move towards universal peace and spiritual evolution.”
The Governor complimented the author for helping readers understand and find answers about spiritual questions in his book.
Ved Kumari Ghai, renowned Sanskrit scholar, Ram A Vishwakarma, Director, IIIM, and Varun Kumar Tripathi, Director, School of Philosophy and Culture at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, spoke on the occasion and shared their views about the book.
