Dehradun, january 3

Thousands of Sikh devotees participated in a nagar kirtan procession taken out in the city to celebrate the 350th Parkash Parv of the 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh here today. Residents of nearby areas too participated in the procession.

The procession was taken out under the aegis of Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha. The Parkash Purb will be celebrated on January 5.

The nagar kirtan started from Karanpur Gurdwara. After going through various parts of the city, it culminated

at Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha at Arhat Bazaar. 

A large number of Sikh religious and social organisations participated in the procession. Stalls were set up to provide refreshments to devotees enroute the procession.

Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Dehradun, president Rajendra Singh Rajan supervised the arrangements for the procession.
