Guv launches ‘Mera Aasman’ in Ambala

Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki launched ‘Mera Aasman’, an organisation started by Ambala City legislator Assem Goel to promote girls’ education.

Hailing the MLA’s initiative, the Governor said girls also needed equal opportunities in life and educating them was one step forward towards women’s empowerment.

City legislator Aseem Goel said the NGO would also work to curb female foeticide and improvethe sex ratio.
