Haj pilgrimage
Shimla: The Committee of India has announced that provisionally selected pilgrims will submit their original international passports with one colour photograph and a copy of the pay-in-slip to the state Haj Committee on or before April 23, a spokesman of the state government said here on Tuesday. He said if the original passport had already been submitted, only the pay-in-slip, along with medical screening and fitness certificate, needed to be submitted to the state Haj Committee. — TNS

Amber lights for Mayor’s car
The state government has allowed amber lights with flasher on the official vehicle of the Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Dharamsala, within his jurisdiction. A notification in this regard was issued by the state government here on Tuesday. —TNS
