Hindi pop band Malhaar launches song on Ganga
Mumbai, November 10
Hindi pop band Malhaar on Thursday unveiled “Gangaji”, a song to create awareness about the increase in the pollution levels in the Ganga.
The band was formed in early 2000 and its songs are inspired from nature. These carry messages that spread awareness about communal harmony and environmental concerns.
Their latest launch is “Gangaji”, a contemporary Hindi song and music video, read a statement from Times Music, which has released it.
As residents of Uttarakhand, the band members—Nailaya Mishra, Amit Lakhwa, Sunil Rautela and Madhav Chandel—feel strongly about the need to save the Ganga.
The band members travelled from Gomukh till Varanasi to shoot a music video that showcases the importance of the river for local communities.— IANS
