A year after the terrorist attack in Dinanagar, two hospitals directly affected in the operation are yet to be compensated. The state government had then assured the owners that they would be compensated in a month.

Chauhan Medicity, located on the Dinanagar-Pathankot road, had treated the injured, while Kiran Hospital, situated adjacent to the police station that was attacked, was damaged in the gun battle.

The issue was highlighted by Dinanagar Congress MLA Aruna Chowdhury at the PPCC’s “Jan Sampark” rally here today. Chowdhury said: “The government had asked Chauhan Medicity to provide free treatment to the injured. However, not a rupee has been reimbursed so far.” — TNS
