Hosts DPS, Ranipur, win 7th Inter-School Cultural Festival

Haridwar, December 18

Hosts Delhi Public School, Ranipur, won the 7th Inter-School Cultural Festival held at the school auditorium here on Saturday. As many as 11 schools, including Police Modern School, Shemrock River Dale Public School, BMDAV Public School, Mont Fort Public School- Roorkee, Delhi Public School- Daultapur, Guru Nanak Academy, New Sanskriti School, Mount Litera Zee School, Achievers Home Public School and Kids Zee, participated in the event.

Theme of the festival was regional dance, in which the participating teams showcased varied regional and folk cultural presentations.

The winning Delhi Public School, Ranipur, team comprised of Aian Rana, Kanishka, Tavishi, Vedansh, Ishita, Ayana, Nehal, Aditi, Divyanshi and Mahi.

The second prize went to Achievers Home Public School which had Mridul, Dev Vani, Priyanshi, Navya, Kanak, Nayash, Aradhya, Yashasvi and Navya Aggarwal as team members.

Mont Fort Public School, Roorkee, was adjudged the second runner-up with Rehan, Aviral, Tanmay, Hamad, Devansh, Kripa, Shivika, Rivika, Anushi and Chestha in the team.

Chief guest Jyotshana Aswani lauded the talent of the participating teams. She said regional folk culture of the country ranging from Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Bengal, Haryana, Goa, Maharashtra among others was beautifully portrayed.

Delhi Public School principal KC Pandey said such activities provided a platform to students to showcase their talent and mix up with other school students, which eventually aid in overall development of their personality.

Event coordinator headmistress of pre primary wing, Suma Roy, along with judges Radhika, Kritika and Anupama were present on the occasion.
